Leo Estopare joined the Tennis Professional Staff at Genesis in February 2001. Leo has a dual range of experience, one as an accomplished competitive player and one as a knowledgeable, motivational coach and instructor. His career began in the early 1960's as a young junior player from St. Louis, Missouri. He has junior championships in all MVTA age brackets. Titles include State, Sectional and National Championships in Singles and Doubles, including special tournament recognition awards in USLTA sanctioned events and consecutive years of national rankings in the Top Ten. College honors and achievements include Singles, Doubles and Team Conference Championships and National titles with All-America selections.
As Tennis Director/Professional at The Wichita Country Club from 1973 to 1998, Leo contributed to and participated in implementing and designing many of the Wichita community tennis programs. He was instrumental in starting the tennis instruction and tournament event for the Kansas Special Olympics games in Wichita. His high-performance coaching has developed winners from high school and national champions to Tour Pros. He is known internationally in the tennis industry as an innovator for his creativity in his G.A.M.E. Scoring system. He's been published nationwide with articles and columns as well as being featured in broadcast media covering tennis.
