16 in 60 Congratulations

Congratulations to Jan Nolde for completing 16 group fitness classes in 60 days!  You will receive a Genesis T-Shirt, 50 G-Perks and one free “Shake This Burner” shake.  Best of all you are on your way to meeting your fitness goals!  Studies show that people are more apt to continue a fitness program if they exercise with another person or in a group.  It also takes about 60 days to “develop a habit.”  With our 16 in 60 Program, you get both!

Personal Fitness Goal: To stay healthy and active and be a fun teacher! I want people to enjoy class and have fun!

What do you love most about teaching Group Fitness classes at Genesis: I love the people! Zumba is a great class to teach. It’s fun and the music is great. You get what you put into it.

What classes do you teach, days and times: Zumba Classes: Tuesday @ 6:30pm and Thursday @ 6:30pm.

Our Featured Class for December is Group Blast!  What is Group Blast, you ask?  Well, keep reading:

GROUP BLAST® - BLAST OFF your workout with 60 minutes of cardio training that uses THE STEP® in highly effective, athletic ways.  Group Blast® will get your heart pounding and sweat pouring as you improve your fitness, agility, coordination, and strength with exciting music and group energy.  This class is popular among men and women and can be tailored to all fitness levels.  HAVE A BLAST!  

We offer this exciting new program on our schedule as follows:
                Monday @ 6:30 p.m. in Studio A with Jen
                Tuesday @ 8:15 a.m. in Studio A with Heather
                Thursday @ 8:15 a.m. in Studio A with Jen
                Thursday @ 5:30 p.m. in Studio A with Heather

Here’s a great Holiday breakfast!  How about some Pumpkin Cheesecake Oatmeal to put you in that festive mood?

Servings: 1
Oatmeal
 
INGREDIENTS:
o    1/2 Cup(s) Quaker® Oats (Quick or Old Fashioned)*
o    1/4 Cup(s) Canned pumpkin puree
o    2 Teaspoon(s) brown sugar
o    2 Teaspoon(s) Pumpkin Spice
o    1 Teaspoon(s) Vanilla Extract
o    2 Tablespoon(s) Graham crackers, crumbled
o    1 Tablespoon(s) Whipped cream cheese
o    1 Tablespoon(s) chopped pecans

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS * or try 1/4 Cup(s) Quaker® Steel Cut Oats
 
PREPARATION:
Prepare oatmeal as usual. Stir in pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin spice, and vanilla. Top with crumbled graham crackers, a dollop of whipped cream cheese, and sprinkle with chopped pecans.  ENJOY!
