We're bringing an exciting, athletic new cardio class to Genesis this month. It's called Group Blast and we'll launch it on - what else? - BLAST Friday, Nov. 28. It's a heart-pounding, step-based class, but the moves are fairly simple and highly effective. Members of all fitness levels are encouraged to give it a try; we'll see you in class!
When we launch Blast late in the month, look for some schedule adjustments so we can make room for the new program.
This month, we highlight Genevieve Barba, a yoga instructor and part of the Genesis family since 2008. Genevieve has been practicing yoga since 1997 and she is working on her 500 hour yoga teacher training. We asked Genevieve why a member should try yoga: “Yoga is fun and it makes you feel great! Many people say to me, ‘I can't do yoga, I'm not flexible,’ but that's exactly why they should come to class! I never want a student to get injured in class, and I encourage them to rest when needed. I like to keep my classes friendly. Just do what you can do and have fun! Yoga is good for your body and for your mind.” Find Genevieve in Studio C, where she teaches Gentle Yoga, Yoga Basics and Yoga for Athletes.
Join us this month for a new, ALL INCREASED WEIGHT FACTOR Group Power release! It brings a gritty, weight-room feel to the class setting, meaning we’ll lift heavy weights, but with fewer reps and longer breaks. We offer Power every day of the week at times to suit all schedules. Join us for your hour of Power!
