My name is Christina Cook but most people call me Chris. My fitness journey started during the winter of 2012/13. I was leading a sedentary life and experiencing a lot of physical pain. That's when I started getting into yoga and began slowly losing weight.
After starting yoga, I got into walking and low-impact aerobics and eventually...Zumba. Zumba is where I really began to see the weight come off. I've lost about 80 lbs, and I am still going!
Since the time I began on my fitness journey, I have lost a lot of weight and stopped taking arthritis medication. I've gotten certified in CPR/AED and licensed in Zumba® and Zumba Gold®. I've also gotten certified to teach Induro Cycle and SilverSneakers classes, which I love. You'll also see me teaching Senior Classic Fit and occasionally subbing yoga classes.
My goal as an instructor is to help others reach an optimal quality of life through an effective cardio, weight training, and flexibility program...but in a fun way! Hope to see you in class...and no matter what...keep moving!!!
