Kids Swimming Lessons
With a low instructor to child ratio, children are sure to receive the attention and personalized instruction they need to improve their swimming skills. The instructional approach familiarizes children with the water and encourages independent skill development. Classes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced swimmers are held year round at the Rock Road and West Central Genesis locations.
2010 January/February Swim Lesson Information
Rock Road
We are going to offer swim lessons a couple of different ways. The first is the normal group swim lessons. Lessons are 30 minutes long and a session is 6 lessons.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings
January 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15 February 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19
10:30 – 11:00 am 2 1/2 - 3 year olds
11:00-11:30 am – 3-4 year olds
11:30-noon – 4-5 year olds

January 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21 February 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25
5:30 – 6:00 pm Beginners
6:00-6:30 pm – Intermediates (stroke development)
6:30 – 7:00 pm – Advanced (stroke refinement)
Saturday Mornings
January 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6, 12
10:00 – 10:30 am 3-4 year olds

The NEW option is a BUILD YOUR OWN SWIM LESSON!! For this option the member needs to find their own group and then set up a time that works for their group. There needs to be at least 3 people in the group and up to 5 or 6. To set these up contact Tara Murphy – 573.8470 or tmurphy@genesishealthclubs.com
Cost for this option is a bit higher, but you get to pick your group, time and instructor!!
Group of 3: $165 (each kid would pay $55)
Group of 4: $200 (each kid would pay $50)
Group of 5: $240 (each kid would pay $48)
Group of 6: $275 (each kid would pay $46)

Swim Lesson Class Descriptions
Beginners
In this class, students will hold breath for 6 seconds, jump in at a point without support, flutter kick on front and back 10 yards with or without buoy, back float from the wall no support, swim on front 3 yards no support, front and back glide 2 body lengths.
Intermediates
Students must be able to pass out of all items in beginner class to move into intermediates. Intermediates will learn, rhythmic breathing, jump into deep water, retrieve object on the bottom of the pool, and coordinate the front crawl and back crawl strokes also beginning diving from side of pool.
