Genesis Health Clubs Plans Expansion To Hutchinson

(WICHITA, KS) – Genesis Health Clubs, Wichita’s largest private health club, has announced the purchase of a 58,000 sq.-ft. building in Hutchinson, a portion of which will be developed as a health club. Genesis President and Owner Rodney Steven II said today that contract negotiations are final for the purchase of the former Alco building at 416 E. 30th Street.

Study Suggests Most in U.S. Will Be Fat

A new study that followed 4,000 people for three decades suggests that over the long haul, 9 out of 10 men and 7 out of 10 women will become overweight. Even those who made it to middle age without getting fat were not safe. Half of the men and women in the study who had made it well into adulthood without a weight problem ultimately became overweight. A third of those women and a quarter of the men became obese.
