Pre/Post Natal Fitness Classes

At Genesis Health Clubs, we want our moms to have the best fitness programs available while their bodies are going through some of the most dramatic changes of their lives. We also want our moms to enjoy exercising with other women sharing similar experiences in a fun, safe and supportive environment.

Research has shown that moms who exercise during their pregnancies experience less weight gain and joint pain, increased stamina during labor and delivery and return to pre-pregnancy weight faster.

Our pre/post natal classes will be noted on the land and aquatics schedule as pre/post natal friendly. Classes are ongoing & you may join at anytime during your pregnancy or after birth. Childcare is available during all classes.

Training For Two Free Pass

Training For Two
Try a workout in the buoyancy and comfort of water. Stretches, cardiovascular and toning exercises will make this an enjoyable class for all moms of any fitness level.

Pre/Post Natal Tai Chi
This class is 30 minutes of slow moving exercises that focus on fluid movements and deep breathing techniques. Tai Chi offers a complete mind/body workout that builds strength, improves balance and increases flexibility, making it the perfect exercise during pregnancy.

Prenatal Fusion
Enjoy a combination of Pilates and Yoga. Pilates involves sets of low impact exercises that work the abdominal, pelvic and back muscles. Yoga is a perfect form of exercise to practice during pregnancy because of its gentle yet effective nature, working the body from the inside out and incorporating important breathing techniques useful during labor.

StrollerRobics
This class is designed for parents who are looking for a class to interact with their babies while getting back into shape. With the use of your stroller and our resistance tubing, you can look and feel great while having fun and socializing with other parents. For inclement weather, please call (316) 721-6600

G-Cycle 101

Pre/Post Natal Personal Training
Weight training is a great way to stay fit during pregnancy; it helps you build stamina, which you’ll need during labor and delivery and provides benefits after childbirth as well. Let one of your highly experienced personal trainers set you up with a great program to meet your fitness goals. Medical Supervision

Medical supervision of an exercise program throughout pregnancy is an imperative. If you are pregnant or less than 3 months postpartum and new to the Genesis Pre/Post Natal Program, you must obtain written consent from you OB physician or midwife before participating in pre/post natal classes.
