Water Becomes Fire - 6:OOpm - 8:OOpm
2 1/2 hours all levels - $35.00
Just as hydrogen and oxygen, depending on how they are mixed together, can produce either fire or water, asana practice and intention and breath depending on how they mixed together can produce either "just exercise" or can revolutionize our lives. This flowing workshop begins very gently and then builds momentum. At the apex of heat and breath we move directly into a special sequence of asanas, which bring the mind into stillness and the body into a new state of energy. This class is both challenging and very healing.
Saturday, May 17th
Flowers Grow Through Concrete - 9:30am -11:30am
2 hours Intermediate Level - $35.00
The most powerful asanas are balance postures, because by the law of, "focus or fall, "they demand more dynamic concentration and bring us in to the present moments. This workshop will begin with a talk about internal and external balance: how we can use our mind to best balance in asanas and more importantly in our lives. Second, after warming up we explore very simple standing balance postures and eventually arrive at handstand. This class is ideal for those who are just learning how to kick up, and also for those wishing to learn to balance without a wall. The postures are used
as tools for internal balance as opposed to "achieving" asanas. These techniques are known to create a profound sense of calm.
The Alchemy of Transformation - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Advanced Students, Teachers and Teachers in Training - $65.00
This vinyasa-flow class' for teachers includes a special sequence of postures known to create a profound sense of stillness. The principles you will learn in this workshop will take you to new depths in
your practice and inspire you for weeks to come. Bring your mat and writing materials.
