Reopening & COVID-19 Protocols

Omaha and Papillion clubs are open! Westroads will open for tennis only as remodeling work continues.

While we were closed, we made many key improvements to keep you safe and healthy while you exercise, including:

  • No fevers. Every staff member, guest, and member will receive fever screening when they arrive. Anyone with fever or other symptoms will be asked to stay home.
  • Space to breathe. Our large facilities give us the room to space you out so you can do your workout with at least six full feet of social distance. We’re strategically blocking off equipment, limiting the size of group exercise classes, and requiring that members in the weight room only use every other machine.
  • Cleaner Air. We’ve invested heavily in cutting-edge, virus-eliminating technology, and have added advanced oxidation air purification systems to the busiest areas of every club. This reduces your risk by killing viruses and bacteria in the air and on surfaces all day long. Natural ionized advanced oxidizers are released directly into the air to purify oxygen and surfaces, so you can breathe easy. Learn more here.
  • Comprehensive Sanitization. We’ve added a Sanitization Specialist to each club, who disinfects and sanitizes throughout the day. We are also asking all personal trainers and members to sanitize before and after each equipment use. We’ve added more hand sanitizer, spray bottles, and other products to make sure every surface stays sanitized throughout the day.
  • Member Code of Conduct. All members will be asked to do their part by disinfecting before and after each equipment use, maintaining safe social distance, staying home when sick, and doing everything they can to protect those around them. Together, we’ll help stop the spread of this virus in our communities.

Q: Are there new hours?
A: During phase II of reopening, the club will operate from 6a-8p M-F, 7a-6p Sat, and 8a-6p Sun.

Q: Why is Westroads closed for everything but tennis?
A: We are working on a full, multi-million dollar remodel of the club. We used the time that the clubs were closed to do a large amount of demolition and construction to speed up the remodeling process so the club will be ready for you sooner! Stay tuned for announcements of the reopening of other parts of the club!

Q: Are the amenities open?
A: Yes! The locker rooms, indoor pools, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and racquetball courts of our Omaha and Papillion clubs are ready for you starting 6/1.

Q: Will Westroads members have access to other clubs while the fitness area is closed for construction?
A: Yes! Your membership gives you full access to all locations in and around Omaha! The closest is the recently remodeled Cass club, located just 2.7 miles to the Southeast.

Q: Will group exercise classes continue?
A: Yes! We will follow social distancing guidelines, so some classes may have smaller capacity than usual. We have added a new reservation system through our online member portal.

Q: Do I have to reserve a spot to attend class?
A: You do not have to reserve a spot, space permitting. However, those who reserve a spot will be guaranteed entry into the class. Walk-in slots will be first-come, first-served.

Q: Do I need to wear a mask?
A: Always comply with state, local, and federal guidelines and regulations. If none are applicable, members may choose to wear a mask if they would prefer.

Q: Will Kid's Club be open?
A: Kid's Club will remain closed during phase II, though we expect it to reopen as regulations permit and things return to normal.
