Group Fitness
All instructors of group fitness classes at the Fort Collins Club are certified by nationally ranked organizations. Prenatal and postpartum members are welcome to join any group fitness class. Before participating, talk with the instructor to see if there are any specific modifications to your workout.

Dance Styled Class Descriptions
There are a variety of dance styled fitness classes that the Fort Collins Club offers. Each class meets in the Group Fitness Room. The Club offers 4 dance styled group fitness classes: Dance Fusion, Cardio Hip-Hop, NIA, and Zumba TM. Below are descriptions of each class.
Dance Fusion: A free-style, non-impact dance, with a flair of yoga, tai-chi, martial arts and mind-body connection. All fitness levels welcome.
Cardio Hip-Hop: Hip Hop dance choreography to Top 40 tunes and old school music. Sweat, smile, and shake you booty!
NIA: NIA offers a mind-body cardio workout through a fusion of jazz, modern dance, martial arts and tai chi. This class is adapted for all fitness levels.
Zumba TM: A cardio class with a global lifestyle brand, that fuses fitness and dance. It blends upbeat world rhythms and easy to follow choreography for a total body workout that feels like a celebration. A class designed for all levels.
Step Based Fitness Classes
There are a variety of step based fitness classes that the Club offers. Step based fitness classes involve the use of a step or block, as well as cardio and footwork. The 3 Step Based classes that the Club offers are: Step Aerobics, Step Explosion, and Step Interval. Each class meets in the group fitness room. Below are descriptions of each class.
Step Aerobics: 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise using steps with choreography.
Step Explosion: 45-50 minutes of advanced step choreography. This class includes endurance and strength exercises at the end of class.
Step Interval: Basic step choreography with strength and endurance exercises to give an overall cardio and strength workout.
FCC Box Fit Class Description
One of the Club’s most unique group fitness classes, Box Fit is an awesome strength and conditioning workout achieved through boxing drills. This 60 minute full body workout is performed in a circuit training format, and is taught by Club instructor Michelle Glanville. Boxing gloves are provided by the Club. This class meets in the gymnasium.
Low Impact Fitness Class Descriptions
There are a variety of low impact group fitness classes which provide an excellent workout while not stressing the joints. They are perfect for someone who still wants to be active but does not want to injure or over work muscles and joints. Each class meets in the group fitness room or yoga room. The 3 low impact group fitness classes are: Gentle Aerobics, Low Impact, and Hi-Low Cardio. Below are descriptions of each class.
Gentle Aerobics: This class is designed to increase strength, range of movement, agility, balance and coordination and to improve participant’s functional capacities, physical fitness level, and sense of well-being. This class is held in the yoga room.
Low Impact: This class focuses on keeping the cardio up without impact. You get a vigorous workout without the stress on your joints.
Hi-Low Cardio: 30 minutes of high or low-impact aerobics. All levels are welcome. This class focuses on moving the body to get the heart pumping and having fun dancing to music.
