Reopening & COVID-19 Protocols

Our clubs are now open!

While we were closed, we made many key improvements to keep you safe and healthy while you exercise, including:

  • No fevers. Every staff member and guest will have their temperature taken when they arrive. Anyone with fever or other symptoms will be asked to stay home.
  • Space to breathe. Our large facilities give us the room to space you out so you can do your workout with at least six full feet of social distance. We’re strategically blocking off equipment, limiting the size of group exercise classes, and requiring that members in the weight room only use every other machine.
  • Cleaner Air. We’ve invested heavily in cutting-edge, virus-eliminating technology, and have added advanced oxidation air purification systems to the busiest areas of every club. This reduces your risk by killing viruses and bacteria in the air and on surfaces all day long. Natural ionized advanced oxidizers are released directly into the air to purify oxygen and surfaces, so you can breathe easy. Learn more here.
  • Comprehensive Sanitization. We regularly disinfect and sanitize with a deep cleaning each day. We are also asking all personal trainers and members to sanitize before and after each equipment use. We’ve added more hand sanitizer, spray bottles, and other products to make sure every surface stays sanitized throughout the day.
  • Member Code of Conduct. All members will be asked to do their part by disinfecting before and after each equipment use, maintaining safe social distance, staying home when sick, and doing everything they can to protect those around them. Together, we’ll help stop the spread of this virus in our communities.

Q: Are there new hours? Is Kid's Club open?
A: To see the temporary hours, click “Gym Hours” on this page. If your club's Kid's Club is open, you can see its hours under "Gym Hours," as well.

Q: Will group exercise classes continue?
A: Yes! We will follow social distancing guidelines, so some classes may have a smaller capacity than usual. We have added a new reservation system through our online member portal.

Q: Do I have to reserve a spot to attend class?
A: You do not have to reserve a spot, space permitting. However, those who reserve a spot will be guaranteed entry into the class. Walk-in slots will be first-come, first-served.

Q: Do I need to wear a mask?
A: Always comply with state, local, and federal guidelines and regulations. If none are applicable, members may choose to wear a mask if they would prefer.

Q: Will the KCMO pools be open?
A: Yes! The pools have reopened for lap swimming (one swimmer per lane) and socially distanced aquatics classes.

Q: What about other amenities?
A: Yes! If your location has saunas, locker rooms, hot tubs, racquetball courts, or steam rooms, all amenities will be open 6/1. 

 Q: Will there be limited capacity?
A: We will abide by the state of Missouri guidance and Kansas City Missouri’s 10/10/10 rule. The main changes you will see are at least 6 feet of social distance, and our buildings will operate at 10% of overall capacity. More details to come as we approach the reopening date.
