Wichita, KS (February 27, 2025) – Genesis Health Clubs, the largest privately held health club enterprise in the United States, is flexing its muscle with a bold expansion, acquiring eight Esporta fitness facilities from LA Fitness. This move fortifies Genesis’ presence in Kentucky and marks its first step into Arkansas and Louisiana, further solidifying its position as the leading fitness brand across the South and Midwest. The transition is effective February 27, 2025.
This strategic acquisition strengthens Genesis’ already formidable presence in Lexington and Louisville, where the company continues to set the standard for high-quality fitness experiences. At the same time, it introduces Genesis’ unmatched health and wellness brand to new members in Little Rock, AR, Slidell, LA, and Baton Rouge, LA.

Additionally, the acquisition brings 250 new employees into the Genesis family, raising the company’s footprint to 77 clubs across thirteen states.
