Riptide Swim Team
Genesis Riptide Swim Team creates and promotes sportsmanship in the pursuit of personal excellence. We strive to develop skills in and out of the water, educate all members on the lifelong lessons and benefits of swimming, instill character and discipline, and support the community by welcoming everyone into the sport.

2025 SWIM SEASON
September 9, 2024 - May 16, 2025
Pre-Team
7 years of age & younger
Be able to swim 1 length of pool freestyle and 1 length backstroke. Demonstrate breaststroke & butterfly useful but not mandatory. Will focus on stroke technique and mechanics. Once they demonstrate legal free, back, breast & fly move on to Silver.
Silver
8-10 years of age
Ability to swim 50 yards freestyle, and 1 length of backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. This group will focus on efficient competitive strokes, starts & turns; improve endurance and strength. Next step is to move to Gold group.
Gold
10-12 years of age
Ability to swim 100 yards freestyle and 50 yards backstroke, breaststroke & butterfly. Continue to focus on stroke mechanics, techniques, starts and turns. Still improving on their endurance and strength. Encourage best times. Advance to Platinum group.
Platinum
12-14 years of age
Ability to swim 200 yards freestyle, 50 yards backstroke, breaststroke & butterfly, and demonstrate legal turns for all strokes. This group will focus on strength training, endurance and racing skills. Encourage best times and advance to high school swimming.

OUR FACILITIES
The swim team works out of our 44-acre campus of The Atlantic Club Manasquan:
- Manasquan pools utilize saline salt-water filtration systems (which reduces chlorine in the water and improves air quality dramatically)
- The team trains in a 6-lane, 25-meter pool throughout the majority of the year
- Swimmers benefit from dry-land training, including indoor cycling
OUR STAFF
All of our coaches are members of the American Swimming Coaches Association. Our coaches have access to the most comprehensive training and certification programs for youth coaches of any sport in the United States.
