Stephanie Whittit

Rock Road Youth Director

My name is Stephanie and I am the Rock Road Youth Director. This will be my 2nd summer with the Mighty Camp summer program. Before leading at this location, I spent time working in residential camps in both Kansas and Hawaii – starting in the camp industry at 19! I have classroom experience and a degree in elementary education. Summer is my favorite season because I love the warm weather… and have a summer birthday. I am super excited to see all the new friends we will make this summer!

Nick Beddow

Lead Counselor – Goddard Preschool Director

Hello! My name is Nick! I am the director of the Goddard preschool and I will be helping with camp while we await Goddard’s grand opening! I have three college degrees and 10 years experience in Education and Child Development. I’m a big Chiefs, Royals, Jayhawks, and Sporting KC fan! I have a fiancé of four years and in my free time I enjoy playing video games and writing screenplays. BBQ and swimming are definitely high on my list of summer activities, including Independence Day. Outside of work, I love camping and hiking and am very excited to be joining the Mighty Camp team this summer!

Alexandria Harris

Lead Camp Counselor

Hello! My name is Alexandria Harris. I graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelors in General Studies – Psychology. While at WSU, I enjoyed being a part of the cheerleading team. I was also on the Dean’s list and a member of the academic honors society, Phi Theta Kappa. I have worked with children for over sixteen years, including co-owning my own daycare center with my sister-in-law. My husband and I have four children of our own – all boys! Michael (7), Lincoln (6), Lane (4), and Mason (1). I have a natural love for children – and enjoy interacting with them and guiding their creativity through singing, dancing, sports, art, or helping them to develop any particular skills they are interested in.

Hi! My name is Trey and I am from Wichita, Kansas. I am super excited to have fun this summer with Mighty Camps and play lots of fun games. My favorite food is churros! A fun fact that I love sharing is that Jellyfish can live forever without predators or human interaction. My favorite sport is basketball.

Amari Reed

Hi! My name is Amari – I am currently a student at Wichita State University. I LOVE to make art and spend my time creating new things. I have a big family – two older sisters and lots of cousins – I love spending time with them. Excited for all the fun this summer with Mighty Camp!

Payton Bright

Camp Counselor

Hello! My name is Payton Bright – I am 16 years old. I love watching the stars at night and being out in the sun! I have a nine-month-old fur baby named Archie who loves to go on walks and snuggle. My favorite thing to do is bake – so I’m extra excited for Fun With Food projects this summer at Mighty Camp!

The majority of our team comes from local universities with diverse educational backgrounds. Most importantly, our team is made up of individuals who LOVE kids! All Mighty Camp Team Members have completed extensive background checks, are certified in basic First Aid and CPR, and receive extensive training prior to the start of the camp. Rest assured, we hire the best of the best to work with your children.
