Ready for a delicious and healthy snack that provides a boost of energy? Check out this quick and easy protein ball recipe - a perfect pre-workout snack that combines essential protein with good carbs and healthy fiber!


  • 1 cup of oats
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened coconut (optional - toast it for extra flavor!)
  • 1/2 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract


  1. Mix all ingredients together until combined in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Cover mixing bowl and set in in the refrigerator to chill for 1-2 hours. Chilling this mixture helps it stick together easily!
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  4. Serve and enjoy!

Refrigerate a sealed container of this recipe for up to one week! Freeze for up to 3 months!
